PeakRank Digital sells visibility. But the more time I spent with South African business owners, the clearer one thing became: the biggest lever for most of them isn't a better agency — it's learning to use AI in their own business. So I built the PeakRank AI Academy to teach exactly that, with Anthropic's Claude at the centre and the work grounded in Anthropic's own frameworks.
Why teach, not just sell
There are over two and a half million small and medium businesses in South Africa, and most are time-poor and lean. Done-for-you services help, but a founder who can delegate research, drafting and analysis to Claude gets a compounding advantage every single day. Teaching that is higher-leverage than doing one more audit — and it builds the kind of trust no ad ever will.
Grounded in Anthropic's own foundations
I didn't want to invent folk wisdom about prompting. The Academy is built on two Anthropic foundations so the guidance stays accurate and current:
- The '4 Ds' AI-fluency framework — Delegation, Description, Discernment and Diligence — as the mental model for working with Claude well rather than blindly.
- Claude for Small Business — the practical side, including how Claude connects to the tools businesses already run on, like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and accounting and CRM software.
- An accuracy discipline: AI products change fast, so modules link the official source and tell you to confirm current pricing and features before you rely on a number.
The three tiers
The curriculum is built to take someone from 'I've heard of ChatGPT' to running real workflows on Claude:
- Foundations — what Claude is, the 4 Ds, your first useful prompts, and how to stay safe and POPIA-aware with business data.
- Growth Engine — repeatable workflows for marketing, content and admin, plus a personal AI assistant for the owner.
- Accelerator — advanced prompting, custom agentic workflows, rolling AI out to a team, and a capstone project applied to the real business.
POPIA from module one
Teaching South African businesses to use AI without teaching them the Protection of Personal Information Act would be reckless. Data safety and POPIA awareness are woven through the Academy from the start — what you can and can't put into a tool, how consent works, and how to get the upside of AI without inheriting legal risk. The same principle runs through the whole of PeakRank: compliance is a feature, not a footnote.
The agency makes you visible. The Academy makes you capable. In a market this early, the businesses that learn to run on AI now will be the ones competitors can't catch.
Where it fits
The Academy completes the picture. The platform monitors your AI visibility and the agency improves it; the Academy makes your own team fluent in the same tools I use to deliver all of it. It's the same bet repeated at a different level: the South African businesses that adopt AI early — safely, and with a real framework — get a head start that's very hard to give back. If that's the bet you want to make, start at peakrank.co.za.
